Moore solid with Notre Dame but still listening to the Florida Gators’ message

Several prospects that are committed to other schools were in Gainesville on Saturday to visit the Florida Gators.

Notre Dame defensive back commit Devin Moore (6-3, 190, Naples, FL. High) was one of those guys on campus and he enjoyed the environment inside the Swamp.

“It was a real nice game, definitely a great sight to see,” Moore said on his visit to Florida on Saturday. “The atmosphere was really great too. That was real loud, my ears were hurting. I’ve never heard nothing that loud.”

Moore was impressed by the Gators’ defense on Saturday and how well the defensive backs played against Bama.

“Florida has a nice system, some nice DB’s too,” he said on his impression of Florida’s defense. “They’ve got some older guys who get everything up and some younger guys who just follow after them. They held their own against Alabama.”

While watching the game, Moore could see himself fitting into the Gators’ defense and helping them on the field.

“Yeah, for sure,” Moore said on if he thinks he could help the defense. “I feel like any type of college team could use more cover type of corners. I could help them out.”

After the game, Moore was able to talk with his area recruiter and defensive backs coach Jules Montinar who reminds the Notre Dame commit about why Florida is a good place for him.

“I just talked to Coach Jules [Montinar],” he said. “He was making sure I was straight before I left. We keep in contact daily and he always says he hopes Florida is the place for me, it’s very close to home and has a lot of plus’. He just reminds me of those plus and he just hopes my mind will change.”

Despite visiting Florida on Saturday, Moore says he’s solid with Notre Dame but could possibly take an official visit to Gainesville.

“Yeah, I have some interest but as of right now I’m kind of solid with Notre Dame,” Moore said. “Maybe, I’m not sure [taking an official visit to Florida].”
