Mississippi State commit to visit the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators are looking for defensive linemen to finish off the 2019 class as they head into official visits in the month of January.

Mississippi State defensive line commit Charles Moore (6-4, 268, Louisville, MS. High) is one of the guys on the board and he plans to visit the Gators next month.

“I’m going to visit them on the 11th,” Moore said of when he plans to visit Florida.
Moore hasn’t visited Gainesville before but he says the coaching staff is a main reason he plans to visit the Gators next month.

“Just the coaching staff, I’m familiar with the coaching staff,” he said on why he plans to visit Florida. “I just want to go show them some love and kind of see if that’s a place that I fit.”

The Mississippi State commit committed to Dan Mullen when he was in Starksville and that relationship is a big key for the Gators.

“Pretty much him just being the old coach at Mississippi State,” Moore said on what it’s about Mullen that made him want to visit Florida. “I’m familiar with him and just pretty much me knowing him.”

Mullen and the Gators coaching staff has stressed to Moore how big of a need he is in Gainesville and how he can get early playing time.

“Yeah, that’s a topic for all defensive linemen that haven’t signed yet,” he said on if Florida is telling him he’s a need. “They’re looking for defensive linemen and all guys want to play early.”

Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri has been the main guy recruiting Moore to Gainesville and he has developed a good relationship with the defensive lineman.

“Coach Sal [Sunseri] tells me that he believes that I can be a top notch guy,” Moore said of Sunseri’s message to him. “Even through the recruiting process, he’s been coaching me up and showing me different stuff. So me and Coach Sal’s relationship is probably going to be deeper if I sign with Florida.”

Moore visited Auburn in December and has four visits left but only one visit is set in stone right now.

“Not right now, just the Florida visit,” he said on other visits.
