Miami offensive line commit wants to visit the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators already have one offensive lineman committed but the coaching staff is looking to add multiple other players to the position in 2021.

Miami offensive line commit Laurence Seymour (6-2, 293, Miami, FL. Central) is one of those guys that the Gators are after and recruiting hard.

“I talk to Coach [John] Hevesy and Coach Hova [John Herron] every other day,” Seymour said on Florida recruiting him. “They’re kind of recruiting me hard now, we just started texting.”

Offensive line coach John Hevesy is getting to know Seymour and just wants to meet the Miami commit in person.

“He has just been saying he wants me to get on campus bad,” he said on the message from Hevesy. “We’re starting to build a relationship because we just started talking.”

Seymour knows what the Gators coaching staff has done in the past and that’s something that’s helping build a solid relationship.

“It’s good, we just started talking so we’re still building it,” Seymour said on his relationship with Florida. “I see they put a lot of guys in the NFL though.”

The Miami commit has just started to really talk to the Gators staff but up next will be a trip to Gainesville to meet the coaches in person.

“I plan to visit,” he said on if he wants to visit Florida. “I just want to see a practice and see the love they show.”

Seymour has been committed to Miami for over two years now but the lineman is leaving the door open for other schools until he puts pen to paper in about seven months.

“I’m still committed but I have interest in other schools,” Seymour said on his status with Miami. “Mainly Florida and my final decision will be on signing day. FSU, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, Oregon and Miami are recruiting me hard too.”
