McDonald is hyped over his Florida Gators’ offer

On Monday, the Florida Gators coaching staff handed out several new offers to prospects in the state of Georgia.

Defensive tackle Kayden McDonald (6-3, 310, Suwanee, GA. North Gwinnett) talked to two of Florida’s coaches who offered him on Monday.

“Coach Chaos [Sean Spencer] and Coach [Kareem] Reid,” McDonald said on which coach from Florida offered him. “Coach [Billy] Napier really gave me the offer; he watched my film before they offered me.”

McDonald was excited to hear the news from the Gators on Monday and explained why he’s high on Florida.

“I’m blessed, I’m hyped,” he said on what the offer means to him. “It’s blessing, Florida is high on my list, they have a great defense and coaching staff. Coach Napier he ran the Sunbelt, so he knows how to win.”

Defensive line coach Sean Spencer explained to McDonald some things about himself and places he has coached at in the past.

“He was talking about how he has been coaching a long time, he’s a vet” McDonald said on what Spencer said to him. “He said he has coached in the NFL and he coached one of my favorite players Dexter Lawrence. He said Florida is a good program to be in and they just got settled in and that’s why they just offered me.”

Spencer went over with McDonald just how he will fit into the defense if he picks Florida for college.

“He was saying I’m quick and fast and can get to the quarterback,” he said on the message from Spencer about how he fits into the defense. “I can plug the middle and I will be right for the SEC. I will be playing the 3-technique and nose tackle.”

McDonald has 31 offers already and Georgia is recruiting McDonald hard but the defensive lineman has several visits planned for this spring.

“Pretty much all of my offers are recruiting very hard,” McDonald said on who else is recruiting him hard. “I’m going to visit Oklahoma and I’m looking to visit Arkansas on March 12th. I’m going to visit Florida on spring break.”
