Mascoll says the Florida Gators class will “stick together”

The Florida Gators had some issues on the offensive line during the Utah game, but they have several top players committed at the position in the Class of 2024.

Florida offensive line commit Marcus Mascoll (6-4, 292, Snellville, GA. South Gwinnett) watched the Utah game and then spoke with offensive line coach Rob Sale about what the Gators need to do to improve as a team.

“It’s good, I talked to Coach Sale on Saturday about the game,” Mascoll said on talking with the staff. “He was just talking to me about the game and what they needed to do in order to get better on the offensive line.”

Sale and head coach Billy Napier have talked with Mascoll about how he can help the team once he arrives in Gainesville.

“They have talked to me about both guard and tackle,” he said on where Florida wants him at. “He says they will move me around so wherever I’m needed at is where I will play at. I play tackle in high school.”

Mascoll and the rest of the commits know that they must come in and help Napier and the Gators get back to the top.

“We talk about how we have to be the class to go in there and help get things fixed,” Mascoll said on the message from the recruiting class. “We have to stick together and go in and work hard to get things fixed. Everyone steps up in the group chat.

The Georgia native is a quiet guy and doesn’t get into the recruiting game much, but he does have one player in mind that he wants in the class for Florida.

“I haven’t really been dialed into that much,” he said on recruiting others to join him in Gainesville. “We’re still after LJ McCray, I know we have a chance with him.”

Next up for Mascoll will be finishing his senior year strong and he also plans to see his future team this fall.

“Most likely Arkansas,” Mascoll said on when he will return to Florida. “I have homecoming the same day as the Tennessee game.”
