Mascoll bonds with his fellow Florida Gators’ commits

Most of the Florida Gators’ commits were in town for the Grill in the Ville event on Saturday as it was another chance for those guys to bond with each other as well as the coaching staff.

Offensive line commit Marcus Mascoll (6-4, 292, Snellville, GA. South Gwinnett) was one of those commits on campus on Saturday and he liked the atmosphere and spending time with everyone.

“It went great,” Mascoll said on his trip to Florida on Saturday. “Being around Coach [Darnell] Stapleton and Coach [Rob] Sale and being around the fellow commits was a great time getting to catch up with me. The fellowship, the games we had before we got to eat. Spending time with the players.”

Mascoll and the rest of the Gators’ commits spent a lot of time with defensive back Wardell Mack as they were trying to convince him to join Florida’s class and the lineman believes the Gators have a chance with him.

“Most definitely,” he said on if the commits were working on Wardell Mack. “We just asked him what day he was going to come on. We have a chance.”

Offensive line commits Fletcher Westphal and Noel Portnjagin were on campus and Mascoll had a chance to bond with those guys and he believes they can help the Gators going forward.

“Those are great dudes,” Mascoll said on bonding with the offensive line commits. “We can most definitely be the future for Florida with our skillset and versatility we can be something special.”
