Linebacker Jordan Hall says his interest in Florida is “pretty high”

Several prospects from IMG Academy were on campus on Saturday as Billy Napier and the coaching staff tries to land more of those prospects for the Florida Gators.

Linebacker Jordan Hall 6-2, 225, Bradenton, FL. IMG Academy) was on campus and enjoyed getting to meet the new staff.

“It was good, it was nice meeting everyone on the new coaching staff,” Hall said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “We had individual meetings, a photo shoot and went to the basketball game. It was a nice time.”

While on campus, Hall picked up an offer from head coach Billy Napier and that conversation was a highlight to the linebacker.

“The highlight to me was actually sitting down and talking with Coach Napier,” he said. “It was my first time to sit actually sit down and talk to him. He’s a great coach, he’s the one that offered me, so it was nice to get an offer from him personally.”

The Virginia native spent most of his time around linebackers coach Jay Bateman who explained that they need guys like Hall in this year’s class.

“Mostly Coach Bateman and Coach [Jamar] Chaney,” Hall said on the coaches he was with the most. “Coach Bateman thinks that I’m very versatile for a linebacker so he could see me at any of the linebackers’ positions that they have. He said they have two guys graduating this year and they don’t have a lot of guys on scholarship at the position.”

Napier also explained to Hall that receiving an offer from the Gators means he’s wanted by the head coach himself and that stood out to the linebacker.

“He explained that they only offer guys after he looks at the film first,” he said on the message from Napier to him. “It was special that he took the time out of his day to watch my film before he offered.”

Hall hasn’t narrowed his list of schools down yet but he says the Gators are a team he likes a lot after Saturday’s visit.

“It’s pretty high, I’ve been interested in Florida for a while,” Hall said of his interest in Florida. “I’ll be dropping my top list of schools soon.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Hall says he hopes to return to Gainesville either this spring or summer for a visit and he wants to take official visits this summer and decide before his senior year.
