Latest Florida Gators bowl projections

The Florida Gators became bowl eligible for the first time since 2022 after back-to-back wins against ranked opponents LSU and Ole Miss. Billy Napier’s squad ended the 2024 season with a road win over FSU and now await their bowl game matchup.

Let’s take a look at some of Florida’s projections.

Las Vegas – CBS Sports and Sporting News

Matchup: Florida vs Washington State

Date: Dec. 27th

Time: 10:30 p.m.

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

The Gators have participated in the Las Vegas bowl one time, in 2022 when Billy Napier’s Florida team took a beating from Oregon State, losing 30-3 in the contest. Washington State finished the 2024 regular season 8-4 but suffered a three-game losing streak to end the year.

Matchup: Florida vs Michigan

Date: Dec. 31st

Time: 12:00. p.m.

Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida.

Formally known as the Outback bowl, the Gators last played in this game back in 2016 vs Iowa, defeating the Hawkeyes 30-3. There’s no way Florida and Michigan play each other again? Right?

Matchup: Florida vs Iowa

Date: Dec. 31st

Time: 12:00 p.m.

Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida

Iowa finished the 2024 regular season with an 8-4 recording including wins over Washington, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

Gator Bowl – Athlon Sports

Matchup: Florida vs Syracuse

Date: Jan. 2nd

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location: EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Fla.

Syracuse finished the 2024 season with a 9-3 record and ended on a three-game winning streak. The Athletic also has placed Florida in this game facing Duke.
