Lang feels wanted by the Florida Gators

September 1st was a big day for 2023 prospects as coaches around the country can now call prospects and the Florida Gators are doing just that.

2023 offensive lineman Vysen Lang (6-5, 330, Pike Road, AL. High) is one of those guys that the coaches have been talking to a lot and recruiting hard.

“They’re recruiting me heavily,” Lang said of his talks with Florida. “They really want me in the Swamp.”

Lang was on campus in Gainesville in late July for Friday Night Lights and the trip was better than expected for the offensive lineman.

“My second visit to Florida was amazing,” he said on his visit to Florida for Friday Night Lights. “I got to see Florida’s famous Friday Night Lights and meet the Pouncey twins. I went to a barbeque and played games with the other recruits and coaches.”

Offensive line coach John Hevesy has explained to Lang just why Florida is a good fit for him and where he could play at on the line.

“The message was that we want you and your family to be a Florida Gator,” Lang said on the message from Hevesy. “That Florida would be an amazing environment for me to play in and attend school. He sees me playing on the outside either left or right tackle.”

Now that Lang has visited Florida twice, he says his interest in Florida is high because of a few reasons.

“I like the friendly and family-oriented environment down there,” he said on what he likes about Florida. “No one seems hostile or fake, it’s just one big tribe.”

The Gators have a lot of competition for Lang as several other SEC teams are recruiting the 2023 prospect.

“I have a lot,” Lang said on other schools recruiting him hard. “Georgia, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Auburn and that’s just to name a few.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Lang said he will be in Gainesville for the Alabama game in two weeks.
