Kinsler has the Florida Gators leading for him

Several of the Florida Gators top targets from the Class of 2023 were on campus last weekend including a few guys that are close to Gainesville.

2023 offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler (6-6, 330, Ocala, FL. Trinity Catholic) was on campus and enjoyed his time with the coaching staff.

“It was good, I liked it,” Kinsler said of his visit to Florida for Friday Night Lights. “I love how the coaches talk to me, the coaches said they were going to stay in contact with me and make sure to get me back up here for another visit.”

Kinsler has now worked out twice for offensive line coach John Hevesy this summer and the assistant coach had some feedback on how Kinsler can improve his game.

“It was fun to workout with him and get better,” he said on working out for Hevesy. “He said to be patient, don’t wait on them to come and keep your hands ready to punch.”

Hevesy also had a recruiting message for Kinsler about where he stands on the Gators’ recruiting board for the 2023 class.

“That I’m like his number one on his board and he wants me bad,” Kinsler said on the message from Hevesy. “He said they’re going to be recruiting me hard.”

Kinsler hasn’t been shy about his interest in the Gators and he says a few reasons in particular help Florida stay on top.

“It’s close to home, I love it, Florida is my leader” he said on what he likes about Florida. “My sister actually came here [Florida] to play basketball.”

The Trinity Catholic prospect says he plans to be in Gainesville for a few games this year and Hevesy is planning to get him on campus again soon.

“He said he’s going to get me up for the first game,” Kinsler said on if he plans to visit UF again and who else is recruiting him hard. “I just got UCF [offer], they said they were going to keep in contact with me and try to get me up for a visit.”
