The Florida Gators have been on a hot streak in the transfer portal and that continued Wednesday when they landed another SEC transfer.
Kentucky defensive back transfer Cam Dooley committed to the Florida Gators after visiting Gainesville for a visit on Wednesday.
Dooley is someone that has many ties to the Gators as he played for defensive coordinator Brad White and safeties coach Chris Collins last year at Kentucky, also Dooley has known off the field staff member Chad Lucas since his high school days in Valley, Alabama.
Once Dooley arrives in Gainesville later this month, he will have two more years of eligibility to play.
Dooley last season accounted for 30 tackles, one interception and one fumble recovery after accounting for four tackles his freshman year. In total, Dooley has played in 24 games the last two years in Lexington.
The Gators have already added defensive back DJ Coleman from Baylor so with the addition of Dooley, the Gators will now focus on adding a true corner from the portal.
