Kearney has a great experience in the Swamp on Saturday night

The Florida Gators hosted several prospects committed to other schools on Saturday as they were able to watch the Gators knock off Utah.

Florida State offensive line commit Roderick Kearney (6-4, 300, Orange Park, FL. High) was on campus and enjoyed the atmosphere in the Swamp.

“I had a great experience,” Kearney said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “I feel like the experience overall was really good.”

Kearney walked away from Saturday’s visit impressed by the play of the offensive line under the Gators’ two assistant coaches.

“They have some dogs up front,” he said on Florida’s offensive line play. “I feel like Utah couldn’t stay with the offensive line. Coach [Darnell] Stapleton and Coach [Rob] Sale do a great job with those guys.”

Despite committing to Florida State over the summer, Kearney says the Gators’ offensive line coaches have kept in contact with him.

“They keep up with me still,” Kearney said on his communication with the staff since he committed. “I talked to Coach Stapleton and Coach Sale [today Saturday] they’re great guys.”

Sale and Stapleton have kept recruiting Kearney and they have a simple but direct message to Kearney about how they’re going to recruit the Florida State commit.

“They’re going to keep fighting,” he said on the message from the staff to him.

INSIDERS TAKE: Kearney says he doesn’t have any other visits planned right now.
