The Florida Gators picked up their fourth commitment of the 2021 class on Saturday just one day after Friday Night Lights.
2021 athlete Kamar Wilcoxson (6-2, 190, Decatur, GA. Stephenson) committed to Florida just three months to the day since he decomitted from the Gators.
“Home is where the heart is,” Wilcoxson tweeted
Wilcoxson had very pro Florida on his social media since decommitting and he explained what kept the Gators in the mix following his decommitment.
“It’s really just the tradition, I grew up liking them,” Wilcoxson said on what keeps him coming back to Florida. “They’re always going to stand out to me.”
Wilcoxson who plays all over in high school is being recruited at defensive back for the Gators and the staff explained how he fits into the defense.
“That I’m versatile and I can play all over the secondary,” Wilcoxson said on what the coaches like about him. “
The Gators coaching staff knew how important Friday’s visit to Gainesville was to getting Wilcoxson back in the class and they made sure to let him know that he was wanted in Gainesville.
“They were showing me that they want me back and stuff,” he said on the message from the coaching staff. “Just trying to let me see how they coach and stuff.”
Wilcoxson joins defensive lineman Tyreak Sapp, offensive lineman George Jackson and quarterback Carlos Del Rio as members of the 2021 class for the Gators.
