Joseph says the Florida Gators love is “real” following his UF visit

Monday was a busy day for the Florida Gators as multiple top targets were in Gainesville visiting with the staff.

2023 receiver Nathaniel Joseph (5-10, 165, Miami, FL. Edison) was on campus and enjoyed getting to see the campus in person.

“It went good,” Joseph said of his visit to Florida on Monday. “I actually watched the camp and watched some of my guys [teammates], talked to Coach [Tim] Brewster and Coach [Dan] Mullen. Coach Corey [Bell] showed me around campus.”

This was the first time for Joseph to meet the Gators coaching staff and he was impressed by the feeling they gave him.

“It was a great impression,” he said on his first impression of Florida. “Florida is amazing, they showed me the new facilities that are getting built. That would be nice to be a part of. They’re great coaches, Coach Brewster and Coach Mullen, I’ve talked to them on the phone, and it was great meeting them. They showed a lot of love.”

Receivers coach Billy Gonzales spoke with Joseph and explained to him that he could fit right into what the Gators need on offense.

“I talked to Coach Billy [Gonzales] when I got there and we had a little conversation,” Joseph said. “I was really talking to Coach Brewster and Coach Corey the most. They love my game and that I’m a playmaker that can make a lot of plays. They want me to fill the role of Kadarius Toney, I fit into that spot.”

Head coach Dan Mullen also explained to Joseph that Florida is more than football and the Gators can help him off the field as well.

“Coach Mullen was talking about academics and football,” he said. “He was telling me about the school and things like that, he knows what I can do and how he would use me, so he basically talked about how great the academics are.”

Joseph says after the visit to Gainesville on Monday that the Gators have his attention because of the offense and the way the coaches treated him.

“The love is real, and I like how they will use me,” Joseph said of his interest in Florida. “I feel like I could play a big role in their system and at the school in general. They definitely opened a new door on the visit.”

Next up for Joseph will be two other visits as several other schools are recruiting the 2023 receiver hard.

“Florida State, Alabama, UCF, Notre Dame, Michigan and Pitt,” he said on others recruiting him hard. “I’m going to UCF and then I’m going down to Miami. Hopefully I can get back to Florida for a game.”
