Joseph always feels the love from the Florida Gators

This weekend the Florida Gators had just two targets on campus that weren’t committed to the Gators and that included a guy that was once committed to Florida.

Defensive end/linebacker Morven Joseph (6-3, 220, Lakeland, FL. Lake Gibson) visited Gainesville this weekend and got to listen to the coaches message to him.

“It was pretty good,” Joseph said of his visit to Florida. “I got to hang out with the players, go to meetings and hang out with the players mainly.”

While on campus, Joseph was hosted by two current Gator players who explained to him what’s like to be a Gator.

“Trevon [Grimes] and Lloyd [Summerall] were,” he said on who his player host were. “They just said that’s hard work but all the coaches love you and they’re going to push you and make you great.”

Defensive coordinator Todd Grantham explained to Joseph how the Gators would use him on defense if he chooses Florida.

“Coach Grantham was pretty much saying how bad they want me,” Joseph said of the message from Grantham. “We watched film together and he was breaking down how they would use me and we watch Gator film from this year. They say I will play some inside linebacker and then rush on third downs.”

Tight ends coach Larry Scott also talked at length with Joseph this weekend about how the Gators want him in Gainesville.

“Coach Scott is my recruiting coach so I talked to him mostly,” he said of his talks with Larry Scott. “He was just telling me that he wants me to come play for him and that he wants me there.”

Joseph was once committed to Florida but decomitted and committed to Florida State but the Lakeland native says he never completely shut the door on the Gators.

“I’ve always been looking at Florida, I’ve never closed the door on them,” Joseph said of Florida. “Even when I was committed to Florida State, I knew I was going to visit Florida. They always show love to me.”

Next up for Joseph will be his signing day decision on December 19th and he says he will likely choose between two schools.

“I don’t think so,” he said on if he plans to visit Florida State. “Florida and Tennessee are the two teams that I’m looking at but Florida State is still texting me and trying to get me come up there next weekend.”
