Jordan Young commits to the Florida Gators

The Florida Gators picked up their third commitment in the last four days on Sunday when they picked up an instate commit.

Defensive back Jordan Young (6-0, 185, Tampa, FL. Gaither) committed to Florida over Ole Miss and others.

“I will be going to the University of Florida,” young said

Young worked out for the Gators last summer and picked up an offer after the camp performance.

“Coach Gray was awesome, he told me I did a good and he sees the work I put in,” he said on working out for Gray. “He’s a great coach and he brought great energy and it was definitely a good workout.”

Young who admits growing up in a Florida household says his highlight that day was talking to head coach Dan Mullen.

It was an honor to sit down and talk to him,” Young said of talking with Mullen. “He talked to me about my dad being a Gator fan and how me and my parents need to come back.”

Young is the second cornerback commit in the class joining Clinton Burton in the class and he joins safety Dakota Mitchell and athlete Kamar Wilcoxson who’s also supposed to play defensive back.
