The Florida Gators picked up their 15th commitment on Wednesday afternoon when they picked up an instate receiver.
Receiver Jayden Gibson (6-5, 185, Winter Garden, FL. West Orange) committed to Florida over Georgia, Miami and a host of others.
“Without further a due, I will be taking my talents to the University of Florida,” Gibson said.
Gibson was on campus for the Alabama game, and he loved the energy inside the Swamp for that game.
“Definitely, crazy energy,” he said on the atmosphere in the Swamp. “It was really exciting to me to know that you have the opportunity play college football in the energy like that. That was definitely something and special.”
The receiver also has been impressed with the Gators’ quarterback and he says Anthony Richardson’s ability is something he has noticed.
“Great quarterback,” Gibson said on his thoughts on Anthony Richardson. “It was one of the positives if I do choose to come to Florida, great quarterback, amazing arm talent. Playmaking ability so I definitely watch his stuff and watch him play.”
Gibson is the third receiver in the 2022 class joining Chandler Smith and Isaiah Bond in the class and the Gators hope to add one more in the class.
The Gators will now turn their attention to receiver Evan Stewart to finish out the receiver class for the 2022 class.
