Jaden Rashada requests release of National Letter of Intent from Florida

Jaden Rashada, a quarterback from Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg California, signed with the Florida Gators after a slight delay on early signing day (Dec. 21).

Rashada was expected to early enroll and be on campus for the Spring semester, which started on January 9th.

“Certainly excited he’s going to be here in January and is coming down to play in the All-Star Game here soon in the state and will come right over,” Billy Napier said on Jaden Rashada during his early signing day press conference.

The Gator early enrollees starting to pile into Gainesville on Sunday, January 8th. As the week went on, there was no sign of Jaden Rashada’s enrollment.

Gator Country can confirm that QB Jaden Rashada has requested to be released from his National Letter of Intent.

Rashada remained in the UF student directory up until this point, proving he had been admitted to the University, putting to rest any academic rumors surrounding his absence.

It’s unclear what Florida will do, but I expect Rashada to be fully released, allowing him to look for another school. Rashada will need to act quickly if he plans to early enroll at his new school.

Gator Country will continue to monitor this situation.
