Jackson says the energy around the Florida Gators is a different kind of energy

The Florida Gators have put together a good group of offensive linemen in the class already and this weekend they hosted another one of their top targets at the position.

Offensive lineman Kennedee Jackson (6-6, 297, Lithonia, GA. High) was on campus and he enjoyed getting to see more of what Gainesville has to offer.

“I liked the energy,” Jackson said of his official visit to Florida. “There’s a lot of extra time because like you get to see how everybody is around the area spend more time with your host.”

The coaching staff has made Jackson a priority for some time now and this weekend head coach Jon Sumrall spent a lot of time with the lineman.

“Spending time with the head coach, he was showing love,” he said on the highlight of the trip. “He was saying come to Florida, come change the program. I see the head coach spending the most time with me.”

Jackson says the energy around the Florida program is different from other programs and it’s the people around the building that show that energy.

“Florida really stood out to me because like just the energy, like everywhere I’ve been it’s like it isn’t really like Florida energy,” Jackson said on what stood out about Florida compared to other visits. “The people around have energy.”

While on his official visit, Jackson was hosted by a freshman offensive lineman who explained how he likes Sumrall’s staff.

“Desmond Green, he was just telling me how good it is here,” he said on his player host. “How much he likes the coaches.”

Jackson plans to announce his commitment on June 10th but up next will be a visit to Georgia as they have been one of the schools hard after the lineman.

“I’m taking Georgia next weekend,” he said on what’s next for him. “Just seeing what they have, they talk to me all the time.”

Following the visit, Jackson says the Gators are high on his list but he says all of the schools he has taken official visits to are in the mix.

“Florida is up there, I’m still thinking,” Jackson said on where Florida stands for him. “I don’t have any leaders, I’m still thinking.”
