Isaiah McKenzie is looking for answers this weekend

Florida is set to host 7 official visitors this weekend and one of them is receiver Isaiah McKenzie (508, 180, Plantation, FL American Heritage).

McKenzie will visit Florida from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning and he will be traveling alone this weekend.

“I’m taking my official to Florida this weekend,” McKenzie said. “I’ll be flying up on Friday and I’m coming by myself.”

The late offer to McKenzie means that he hasn’t visited Florida this year so this official visit is big for McKenzie who knows what he wants to see this weekend.

“Nothing big I just want to see how everything is around the school,” McKenzie said. “I just want to see how the players and coaches are and how they interact with each other. I want to talk to the academic people as well. I have a lot of questions to ask to the coaches.”

No matter how good this weekend goes it doesn’t look like McKenzie will be a Gator until February if he chooses to attend Florida.

“There is no chance that I will commit this weekend,” McKenzie said. “Everything may look great and everything but I still want to take my final visits and make my decision on signing day.”

There was some academic trouble for McKenzie that stopped him from committing to Notre Dame last fall but those things changed this past week.

Notre Dame called McKenzie to tell him he was able to commit to the school  and was cleared to enroll there but McKenzie decided not to commit, but he will considers the Irish a contender in his recruitment.

“Notre Dame is still an option for me,” McKenzie said. “I plan to visit Notre Dame on the 31st and also to Ole Miss on the 24th.”

Tennessee and Oregon were trying to get an official from McKenzie but he elected to go to South Bend instead.
