Ingraham hears from the Florida Gators daily

The Florida Gators have picked up several big commitments over the last few weeks but they’re still trying to gain at several positions including the defensive line.

One of the top targets on the defensive line is defensive end Braylen Ingraham (6-4, 260, Fort Lauderdale, FL. St. Thomas Aquinas) who says the Gators are talking to him a lot and he’s even hearing from head coach Dan Mullen.

“Yeah, Florida has been texting me almost everyday,” Ingraham said of Florida. “Coach Sal [Sunseri], Coach Mullen and a few other coaches are texting me about Florida. They’re always telling me to have a great day, we have a great relationship.”

Defensive line coach Sal Sunseri is trying to fire up Ingraham on a daily basis with his messages about the Gators.

“He’s just texting me quotes everyday, like motivational quotes,” he said of his talks with Sunseri. “He has just been saying that I fit really well into the scheme and he wants me to come to Florida.”

Sunseri has talked with Ingraham a lot about where he would play on the defensive line with his size and versatility.

“He sees me playing everything on the defensive line,” Ingraham said on where Sunseri sees him playing at. “He sees me more as a guy that can go rush the passer.”

Dan Mullen has also shared a few things with Ingraham about why the Gators are the best place for the defensive end to play college football at.

“Coach Mullen always says he wants me to be a Gator,” he said of Mullen’s talks with him. “He says that Florida is the best place for me because he wants to get me better on and off the field.”

Ingraham has done his research on Mullen and Sunseri and he’s impressed with both of their backgrounds and he believes Mullen can get Florida back to where it once was.

“I can see that they’re building their program back to where Florida was back in 2008,” Ingraham said on Mullen brining Florida back. “I think he’s going to do that.”

The Gators aren’t the only team recruiting Ingraham hard as several other SEC and rivals are recruiting the defensive end.

“Florida, Kentucky, Miami, Alabama and Oregon those five schools,” he said on the schools recruiting him the hardest. “I’m taking an official to Oregon and Miami and I’m not sure who will get the last one either Florida or Miami. I already took two visits to Kentucky and Oklahoma.”

Florida and the rest of his top five won’t have to wait that much longer as Ingraham knows when he wants to make a decision.

“I’m going to do it on my mom’s birthday October 23rd,” Ingraham said on when he plans to make a decision. “I’m trying to get all of my officials done before then.”

INSIDERS TAKE: Ingraham will be taking an unofficial visit to Florida for the Kentucky game and then hopes to set up his remaining official visits after that.
