Horton pledges to the Gators

Offensive/defensive lineman Michael Horton (6-4, 320, Atlanta, GA Lakeside) made big news on Thursday as he announced his commitment to the Florida Gators.

Horton had 33 offers from the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Georgia and LSU, among others, but  picked Florida because of his relationship with Will Muschamp and the coaching staff.

Another big thing that Horton liked about the Gators is that Muschamp gave him the opportunity to play both offensive or defensive depending on his preference when he arrives on campus.

Adding Horton is also another step in the right direction for Florida as he’s the second commitment this week and gives the Gators nine commitments in the Class of 2015.

Horton is also very good friends with linebacker Adonis Thomas who announces tomorrow between Florida and Alabama and the two players have said they would like to play together in college so that bodes very well for Florida.

Check back with Gator Country later in the evening to get more from Horton’s commitment.
