Hocke to lead Gators’ strength and conditioning program

Mark Hocke has been hired as the Gators’ director of strength and conditioning and associate head coach, head coach Billy Napier announced on Monday.

Hocke replaces Nick Savage, who guided UF’s strength program the last four years under head coach Dan Mullen.

Hocke held the same title for the past four years at Louisiana under Napier’s supervision. Prior to that, he was part of the strength staffs at Florida State (2016) and Texas A&M (2017).

He was the head strength and conditioning coach at Georgia in 2015 and trained two all-SEC offensive linemen.

He started his career at Alabama from 2009-14, which included three seasons on the same staff as Napier. During those six years, Hocke helped train 10 first-round NFL Draft picks and helped lead the Crimson Tide to three national championships.
