Hall loves the vibe around the Florida Gators

Billy Napier wants to keep the top instate prospects home in the state of Florida and a big focus has been on the Jacksonville area since he arrived in Gainesville.

One of those top in-state prospects was on campus last Thursday for the spring when defensive lineman Jordan Hall (6-4, 300, Jacksonville, FL. Westside) visited town.

“For a spring game, it was crazy,” Hall said of his visit to Florida for the spring game. “You don’t really see stuff like that with everyone involved, there were more fans than I thought. The stadium was kind of packed. I love coming down here.”

Hall has been able to watch several practices already and he likes the results that the line is producing after working with defensive line coach Sean Spencer for so little time.

“Honestly just seeing the guys that work hard in practice, step up,” he said on what he liked about Florida’s defensive line. “Everybody looks at Dex [Gervon Dexter], Dex is probably the best defensive lineman, but Tyreak Sapp showed up and played his butt off. I was keyed on the freshmen to see the impact Coach Spencer has on them in just a few months.”

Spencer and Hall have developed a solid relationship already and the Jacksonville native likes being around the defensive line coach.

“Rekindling our friendship,” Hall said on seeing Spencer during the spring game. “Being around him, the question he asks, it’s kind of like an interview. He’s checking up on me, everything is fun with him.”

Hall was on campus three times this spring and he says the Gators improved their chances with him with those visits.

“Most definitely,” Hall said on if Florida has helped itself with the multiple visits this fall. “It’s like coming back to your cousin’s house, seeing what type of game we can play today and see what we can do next. It’s always a good vibe. It’s fun to be back.”

Next up for Hall will be another trip to Gainesville as this time he wants to have his family with him on the visit.

“Maybe May,” he said on when he wants to visit Florida again. “I want to get my mom here since she hasn’t been.”
