Gibson has “faith” in the Florida Gators’ quarterbacks

The Florida Gators put up over 400 yards of offense on Saturday and that caught the attention of several of the Florida Gators’ offensive targets that were in attendance on Saturday.

Receiver Jayden Gibson (6-5, 185, Winter Garden, FL. West Orange) was in attendance and says the visit was better than he thought.

“It was good, just came down to see what the energy was like on game-day,” Gibson said of his visit to Florida on Saturday. “The experience like on game-day especially being so close to the team. It was everything I thought it would be and it exceeded my expectations.”

Gibson enjoyed the loud atmosphere in the Swamp on Saturday, and he envisioned himself playing in front of that crowd.

“Definitely, crazy energy,” he said on the atmosphere in the Swamp. “It was really exciting to me to know that you have the opportunity play college football in the energy like that. That was definitely something and special.”

While the Gators didn’t win on Saturday, Gibson was impressed by the Gators fight on Saturday and thinks they will a lot more games.

“I just feel like they easily could’ve won,” Gibson said of Florida’s fight on Saturday. “They didn’t come out as strong I thought they should have down 21-3. They showed they’re a good team and kept fighting back. Throughout the season I hope they just come out stronger and they will win a lot more games.”

Gibson was also impressed by the play of Gators’ quarterback Emory Jones on Saturday and believes that he can help Florida knock off Alabama if they were to meet again.

“Great quarterback, just make sure he makes the right reads and the team will be alright,” he said on Emory Jones’ performance. “A lot of people are over critical of him because they haven’t seen him play that much, this is his first time being in the spotlight, but I have faith in him. They’re going to do what they have to do, and I feel like if we play Alabama again, we’re going to win.”

While Gibson was impressed by Jones, he has watched Anthony Richardson’s play as that would be the quarterback that would be throwing to the receiver if he was to pick Florida.

“Great quarterback,” Gibson said on his thoughts on Anthony Richardson. “It was one of the positives if I do choose to come to Florida, great quarterback, amazing arm talent. Playmaking ability so I definitely watch his stuff and watch him play.”

Last week, Gibson announced he would be deciding on October 13th and Gibson says making sure everything is right with his decision is the next step for him.

“Making sure I make the right decision,” he said on what’s next for him before his commitment date. “Making sure if this is the right place and I might go to another game to see them as well and just make sure I come to the right decision.”

Gibson says he has the schools in mind that he will choose from but he didn’t want to release those schools.

“It’s more like I’m down to like four schools,” Gibson said on if he has made a final decision. “I think I know where I want to go but just need to keep talking to these four or five coaches and make sure I make the right decision.”
