The Florida Gators made a huge splash on Sunday afternoon when they received a commitment from blue-chip cornerback Jason Marshall.
“It’s been a long lasting journey these past four years and I’ve seen so much success from the ups and downs and could only that God for what he has done for me,” Marshall tweeted. “Putting me in this amazing position I’m in today. Most importantly, I would like to give thanks to my BIGGEST SUPPORTERS, my parents for believing and pushing me to achieve my huge dreams since a young boy. I would like to that every single coach that gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills and helping me blossom into the man I am today. Next, I would like to give a huge shout out and thanks to the staff at Palmetto High School for the moral support on and off the field. Now, with that being said, I will be committing to the University of Florida.”
Marshall is the highest-rated prospect in Florida’s 2021 class and was one of their top targets this recruiting cycle. He chose Florida over Miami, where three of his Palmetto High School teammates have committed, LSU, and Oregon.
Marshall has the frame that Florida Gators defensive backs coach Torrian Gray looks for in a prospect. Marshall is 6’2”, long, and lean. Marshall is the 24th member of the Gators 2021 recruiting class.
Gator Country will have more on this huge, breaking commitment tonight.
