When Dan Mullen first led the Florida Gators onto a field as head coach his team was unranked.
So much has changed in two years.
Following LSU’s win over Clemson in the National Championship game, the Florida Gators were ranked No. 6 in the final Associated Press poll for 2019. It’s the highest the Gators have finished in the season end AP poll since 2009.
In 2018 Mullen joined Galen Hall as the only Florida head coaches to finish in the top-10 in their first seasons. This No. 6 finish makes Mullen the only Florida coach in school history to finish inside the top-10 in each of his first two seasons.
Florida finished the 2019 season with an 11-2 record. Their only losses came to an undefeated National Champion on the road and No. 4 Georgia.
