Gators climb in the polls

As expected, the Gators moved up in the latest installments of the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll and the Associated Press Poll following their 38-14 win over Tennessee on Saturday.

UF jumped Texas A&M and Clemson in the Coaches Poll to move up to No. 9. The Aggies lost to Arkansas, while Clemson fell to NC State in double-overtime.

Meanwhile, the Gators moved up just one spot to No. 10 in the AP Poll. They jumped Ohio State, Texas A&M and Clemson but were passed by Notre Dame and Arkansas.

UF is the highest-ranked one-loss team in both polls.

Florida will hit the road for the first time in SEC play this Saturday. They’ll take on Kentucky at 6 on ESPN. The Wildcats (4-0, 2-0 SEC) are ranked 23rd in the Coaches Poll and received votes in the AP Poll.
