Friday Night Frenzy recap week 12: Florida Gators recruiting

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects across the country are trying to shine on the field to impress college coaches and win a state championship ring before heading to college.

Like the past years, Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators recruiting commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past week’s games.

This year we are going to also to name a player of the week from the commits’ games.

The regular season is ending as teams are competing for playoff spots.

 

Week 12 recap

Player of the Game: Darren Lawrence- Lawrence caught a 24-yard touchdown pass and converted two, two-point conversions.

2022 commits

Receiver Isaiah Bond (5-10, 175, Buford, GA. Buford)

Result: Buford defeated Kell 38-14 on Friday.

Game Stats: Bond had two catches for 27 yards in the win.

Notes: Buford moves to the second round of the playoffs.

Athlete Jamarrien Burt (6-1, 175, Ocala, FL. Forest)

Result: Forest is done with their season.

Notes: Forest finished the year 3-7.

Offensive lineman David Conner (6-6, 270, Deerfield Beach, FL. High)

Result: Deerfield Beach defeated Boca Raton 21-7 on Friday.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
