Friday Night Frenzy Preview Week 5: Florida Gators recruiting

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects across the country are starting the high school football season.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks’ games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Receiver Tawaski Abrams (5-11, 175, Fort Myers, FL. Dunbar)

Matchup: Dunbar (3-1) will travel to take on Clewiston on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Abrams has 17 carries for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns 13 catches for 160 yards, and a touchdown on the season.

Notes: Dunbar is 3-1 on the year.

 

Linebacker Aaron Chiles (6-3, 220, Olney, MD. Our Lady Good Counsel)

Matchup: Our Lady of Good Counsel (2-1) will play host to Stone Bridge on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Chiles has 7 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble on the year.

Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit.
