Friday Night Frenzy Preview Week 13: Florida Gators recruiting

It’s that time of the year again where the Friday Night Lights are bright and prospects across the country are starting the high school football season.

Like the past years Gator Country is going to do a preview every Thursday for all of the Florida Gators commits and on Monday we will do a full recap including stats and notes from the past weeks’ games.

This year we are going to also highlight the key players to watch in the game that aren’t Florida Gators commits but rather targets or just big names in the game.

Receiver Tawaski Abrams (5-11, 175, Fort Myers, FL. Dunbar)

Matchup: Dunbar (9-2) travels to take on Golden Gate on Friday night.

Yearly Stats: Abrams has 33 carries for 221 yards and 4 touchdowns and 36 catches for 461 yards, and 4 touchdowns on the season.

Notes: This is the second round of the playoffs.

 

Linebacker Aaron Chiles (6-3, 220, Olney, MD. Our Lady Good Counsel)

Matchup: Our Lady of Good Counsel (9-1) plays host to DeMatha on Tuesday night.

Yearly Stats: Chiles has 34 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble on the year.

Notes: This is the second round of the playoffs.

 

Running back Kahnen Daniels (5-11, 190, West Point, MS. High)

Matchup: West Point (8-3) travels to take on Holmes County Central on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Daniels has carried the ball 180 times for 1,930 yards and 21 touchdowns on the year. Daniels has also scored on four two-point conversions.

Notes: This is the second round of the playoffs.

 

Defensive back Josiah Davis (6-1, 185, Nashville, GA. Berrien)

Matchup: Berrien (2-7) is finished with its season.

Yearly Stats: Davis is 24-53 passing for 289 yards, 2 touchdowns, he has run for 589 yards and 10 touchdowns on the year. Davis also has 35 tackles, interception, and a caused fumble.

Defensive back Xavier Filsaime (6-1, 180, McKinney, TX. High)

Matchup: McKinney (9-2) plays host to Highland Park on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Filsaime has 64 tackles, six PBU’s, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. Filsaime also has two rushing touchdowns on the year.

Defensive back Teddy Foster (6-2, 170, Sarasota, FL. Cardinal Mooney)

Matchup: Cardinal Mooney (8-2) plays host to Lakeland Christian on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Foster has 20 catches for 313 yards and 4 touchdowns on offense. On defense, Foster has 32 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one sack, one interception and six PBU’s.

Linebacker Myles Graham (6-1, 212, Gainesville, FL. Buchholz)

Matchup: Buchholz (11-0) plays host to Ponte Vedra on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Graham has 42 carries for 386 yards, and 13 touchdowns on the year. On defense, Graham has 51 tackles, 6 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks and a caused fumble.

Receiver Jerrae Hawkins (5-9, 165, Bradenton, FL. IMG Academy)

Matchup: IMG (8-0) plays host to St. Frances Academy on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Hawkins has 25 catches for 476 yards and 4 touchdowns this year. Hawkins also has two carries for 25 yards and two touchdowns.

Matchup: Largo (9-2) plays host to Gaither on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Jackson has 13 rushing attempts for 200 yards and 4 touchdowns, and nine catches for 121 yards, and 2 touchdowns on the year. Jackson has also thrown a touchdown pass.

Defensive lineman Kendall Jackson (6-4, 250, Gainesville, FL. Buchholz)

Yearly Stats: Williams has 23 carries for 407 yards and 5 touchdowns on offense. Williams has added 1 catch for 22 yards and a touchdown. On defense, Williams has 26 tackles, six sacks and 17 tackles for a loss.

Receiver Izaiah Williams (6-0, 172, Tampa, FL. Carrollwood Day)

Matchup: Carrollwood Day (7-1) travels to take on Northside Christian on Friday.

Yearly Stats: Williams has 34 catches for 667 yards and seven touchdowns. Williams also has a rushing touchdown.
