Florida offers 2015 offensive lineman

As the Gators continue to evaluate prospects for the Class of 2014, they are also getting a head start on the Class of 2015.

On Thursday, the Gators sent out an offer to 2015 prospect, Cincinnati (OH.) Colerain offensive lineman George Brown.

“I was told to call coach (Will) Muschamp today,” Brown said. “When I called him he offered me and said that he really liked me as a player and he wanted me to come to Florida. He also said that he is very excited to have me see Florida on May 31st and that he can’t wait to meet me. He wants me to play offensive line at Florida.

”The 6-foot-6, 253-pound Brown already has his plans ready to visit Florida and he knows what he wants to see while on his visit to Gainesville.

“I want to see what all Florida has to offer me as a player and student,” Brown said. “I want to see the campus and the facilities there and I want to meet all of the coaches and see the players. I want to watch how the coaches and players interact with each other so I can get a feel for how I would be treated if I went to Florida.”

Thursday was the first conversation that Brown has had with Florida as the sophomore prospect has talked with one of the Gators assistants several times.

“Me and coach (Tim) Davis have already starting building a good relationship with each other,” Brown said. “He tells me that he loves my highlight tape and how well I can move for a big guy. Coach Davis also said that he has watched my workout film as well and that he likes my lifting abilities. Coach is supposed to come see me next week at my school.”

Brown said that he watched several of the Gators games last year and was impressed with their offensive scheme and how well the defense played.

For Brown, he says that he will choose the best school for him no matter the location but the SEC is a big draw for him.
