Florida Gators visitors list preview for the South Carolina game

The Florida Gators will host last their last SEC game of the 2018 football season on Saturday afternoon in the Swamp against South Carolina.

Dan Mullen and his staff are expected several prospects to visit the Swamp for the noon game including two official visitors for Florida.

This is a big weekend for the Gators as this is the second to last chance to host prospects on campus for a game this year.

GatorCountry brings you a visitors list preview for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Official visitors

Florida will play host to one official visitor this weekend.

Florida State defensive end commit Derick Hunter is expected to visit Gainesville on Saturday with his grandparents. Hunter has talked about his great relationship with defensive line coach Sal Sunseri in the past and he will be on campus for the second time this fall on Saturday.

Unofficial visitors

Only two unofficial 2019 prospects are scheduled to visit Florida at this time but they’re big ones for the Gators at a position of need.

First up is Florida State defensive end commit Quashon Fuller who will be on campus for the first time this fall. Fuller likes Sal Sunseri and Florida but the Gators have work to do in order to flip the FSU commit.

Next up is defensive end Brayden Monday who just picked up an offer from the Gators two weeks ago. Monday is a guy who plays both offense and defense in high school but projects at defensive end in college. Monday will be on campus for the first time on Saturday.

Defensive back Jay Ward is a new name to the board but just recently decomitted from Kentucky and LSU quickly offered him. Ward hasn’t been offered by Florida yet but that could all change on Saturday.

Commits visiting Florida

Florida will welcome several of its commits to town for Saturday’s final SEC game of the 2018 season.

Athlete commits Diwun Black and Trent Whittemore have been staples in the Swamp all year and that’s expect to continue on Saturday when they visit the Swamp.

Linebacker commit Tyron Hopper is a guy that’s still hearing from other schools but is expected to be in Gainesville for the second time this year. Hopper is becoming more solid to Florida since he visited Gainesville for the LSU game.

2020 quarterback commit Anthony Richardson is expected to make the short drive over to campus on Saturday as he has done so many times this year.

New 2020 defensive end commit Gervon Dexter is also expected to make the drive up to campus for the second straight weekend.

Underclassmen visiting

The Gators have done very well with getting underclassmen on campus this year and that looks to continue on Saturday when several prospects are scheduled to visit campus.

2020 defensive back Keontae Jenkins (5-10, 160, Virginia Beach, VA. Frank W. Cox) is scheduled to visit Florida. Jenkins has expressed a lot of interest in the Gators early on.

Joining Jenkins this weekend is expected to be 2020 offensive lineman Tate Ratledge (6-5, 295, Rome, GA. Darlington) as this will be his first trip to Gainesville. Ratledge is a top prospect for next year.

2020 offensive lineman Tate Johnson (6-4, 315, Hogansville, GA. Callaway) is also expected on campus on Saturday. Johnson has visited Gainesville in the past but this will be his first trip on campus this fall.
