Gators going for the flip
Florida is still recruiting several prospects committed to other schools as they hope to flip those guys from their current schools to the Gators. On Saturday two prospects are likely to be in the stands to watch the Gators play.
Alabama defensive back commit Jameer Grimsley has stayed in contact with the Gators since his commitment to the Tide and the coaching staff visited Grimsley last week during the bye week. Grimsley plans to be in Jacksonville this weekend and plans to be in Gainesville next week for the Arkansas game. Grimsley’s recruitment will go down to the wire as Florida remains in the mix.
Texas running back commit Jerrick Gibson says he’s trying to attend the game on Saturday and the Longhorns commit has been to campus twice already this year. While it’s going to be tough to flip Gibson, the Gators are still working hard on the Gainesville native.
Former commit to visit
Former Florida defensive line commit Michai Boireau was on campus in Gainesville for the Vanderbilt game, and he now plans to be in Jacksonville this weekend. Boireau has stayed in contact despite decommiting from Florida and the Gators look to be in a good spot to potentially get the defensive lineman back in the fold.
