Florida Gators spring game gamer: Orange and Blue

The Florida Gators held their annual Orange and Blue spring game on Thursday night. The game ended with a game winning 46-yard field goal from Trey Smack, allowing team Orange to beat team blue 10-7. The only touchdowns of the game came in the second quarter.

Quarterbacks Graham Mertz and Jack Miller both struggled to throw the ball during the game as the defensive line controlled much of the game.

The Gators’ running game had moments during the game where they had running room and helped the Gators’ offense move down the field.

There were 11 total punts throughout the contest.

SECOND QUARTER:

Blue 7 Orange 0– 16-yard touchdown pass from Jack Miller to Marcus Burke with 8:48 to go.

Scoring Drive: 12 plays for 82 yards, 6:40 time of possession.

Orange 7 Blue 7– 10-yard touchdown pass from Graham Mertz to Kahleil Jackson with 13 seconds to go.

Scoring Drive: 7 plays for 76 yards, 55 seconds time of possession.
