Florida Gators softball signs five in the 2020 class

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Tim Walton and the Florida softball program announced the addition Avery Goelz, Emily Wilkie, Haley Pittman, Kali Reis and Katie Kistler to National Letters of Intent Wednesday.

The group of talented softball standouts hail from Florida, Alabama and Georgia. Avery Goelz is also the younger sister of newcomer Kinsey Goelz.

“Around this time every year we get the opportunity to welcome the newest class of Gators that will come in and help build upon the tradition we have here at Florida. Today we are excited to introduce Avery, Emily, Haley, Kali and Katie to Gator Nation and we look forward to the opportunity to helping them continue their growth as players and as student-athletes next fall.”

Last season, the program recently captured the Southeastern Conference Tournament Championship for the second consecutive season. It’s the second time in program history that the Gators have achieved the feat and it’s only the fourth time a program has won back-to-back tournament championships in conference history.

The Gators went on to secure its 10th bid to the Women’s College World Series in 12 years, the most by any program in the nation during that span, and finished the season with a 49-18 record.
