Florida Gators softball releases non-conference schedule

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida softball program has announced its non-conference opponents that will fill out the 2021 schedule. Ticket and stadium capacity information, along with health and safety protocols will be announced at a later date.
Florida’s 25th anniversary season will officially begin Feb. 12-13, against USF in a three-game series in Tampa, Fla.
The Bubly Invitational is set to be held the following weekend (Feb. 19-21) at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium. Florida will play Georgia Southern in a trio of games and Charlotte twice over the weekend.
The Gators non-conference schedule also features home contests against Jacksonville (Feb. 17), Louisville (Feb. 27-28), McNeese (Feb. 28), New Mexico State (March 3), South Dakota (March 8), Kennesaw State (March 10), North Dakota (March 17), USF (April 7), and UCF (April 14).
UF will also hit the road for midweek tilts at UNF (Feb. 24), at UCF (March 24), at Jacksonville (March 31) and at FGCU (April 21).
The traditional midweek games against Florida State will now take place at home KSP Stadium, Friday, March 5, and on the road Saturday, March 6, at JoAnn Graf Field.
The 2021 schedule is subject to change and some game times have yet to be determined.

Andrew Spivey
Andrew always knew he wanted to be involved with sports in some capacity. He began by coaching high school football for six years before deciding to pursue a career in journalism. While coaching, he was a part of two state semifinal teams in the state of Alabama. Given his past coaching experience, he figured covering recruiting would be a perfect fit. He began his career as an intern for Rivals.com, covering University of Florida football recruiting. After interning with Rivals for six months, he joined the Gator Country family as a recruiting analyst.
