Florida Gators signee profile: Tight end Jonathan Odom

Jonathan Odom

School: Jesuit

Hometown: Tampa, FL.

Height: 6-5

Weight: 250

Position: tight end

247 Ranking: 3-star

Recruited by: Larry Scott

Enrollment date: summer of 2020

Notable: Odom is the son of former Gators offensive lineman Jason Odom and while that helped the Gators, Dan Mullen really sold Odom on being able to use him as a tight end on offense. Odom had his senior year cut short due to a shoulder injury.

Quotable: “I’m hoping to be that guy that can really stay on field,” Odom said on how he thinks he fits in now that he has seen the tight ends for himself. “Be that versatile guy in both the passing game and run game and do anything they need me to do. I’m not looking to be that guy that can just go run block, I’m looking to be a guy that can contribute in both aspects of the game.”
