The Florida Gators have just over a week left of spring practice and they will scrimmage again on Saturday as they prepare for next Saturday’s spring game.
This weekend, Jon Sumrall and his staff will once again host prospects on campus as they look to continue to gain momentum with top targets.
GatorCountry brings you a look at the targets expected on campus over the next few days for the coaching staff.
Offensive side of the ball
Running back Landen Williams-Callis will make his first trip to Gainesville on Friday as the Texas native hopes to get a better feel for what the Gators have to offer.
Receiver Anthony Jennings has been a frequent visitor in Gainesville and has the Gators as his leader heading into the visit. Jennings is a priority for the Gators and the staff hopes to gain even more momentum this weekend.
Receiver Cam Wade will make the trip down from Kentucky this weekend for his first visit to Gainesville. The Gators are playing catching up to several schools including Auburn and LSU.
Offensive lineman Jordan Agbanoma is expected on campus for the first time this weekend. The Georgia native is someone that Phil Trautwein has been talking with a good bit but heading into the visit Texas A&M is the team to watch.
Offensive lineman Elijah Hutchinson will be on campus for the first time on Thursday as he makes the trip down from Virginia. The Gators hope to get an idea of where they stand with the lineman during the trip.
Offensive lineman Kennedee Jackson has already set an official visit to Gainesville and the Gators hope this weekend they can gain momentum for that trip. Georgia and Auburn are schools to watch as well for Jackson.
Florida Gators tight end commit Jackson Ballinger committed to Florida earlier this year and it will be his first trip back to town. Ballinger is close with tight ends coach Evan McKissack and this weekend is a chance for Ballinger to help recruit others.
Tight end Christian Hanshaw is expected in town from Utah this weekend and it will be his first time on campus. Hanshaw is an athletic tight end that the Gators have been in touch with and they hope to learn more about him this weekend.
Defensive targets to visit Gainesville
Defensive lineman Cahron Wheeler already has an official visit set to Gainesville for June and this weekend Wheeler will get a chance to see the staff in action. Florida is battling Clemson and Maryland in his recruitment.
Defensive end Marquis Evans will make the trip from Alabama this weekend as Auburn and Miami are leading in his recruitment. This will be the first time on campus for Evans.
Defensive end AJ Pauley will be in town from Mobile, Alabama on Thursday as the Gators look to make up ground on the instate Crimson Tide.
Athlete/cornerback Dylan Haley has an official visit set to Gainesville for June already and the Georgia native is hoping to get a better look at the staff this weekend. Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee also have secured official visits from Haley.
South Carolina defensive back commit Aamaury Fountain has been to campus several times already under the new staff as the Gators are the biggest threat to flip Fountain. The Georgia native really likes the staff at Florida and the Gators are hoping to gain even more momentum this weekend.
Defensive back Jayden Aparicio-Bailey plans to be in town on Friday and Saturday this weekend as he will get a chance to watch the Gators scrimmage on Saturday. The Alabama native likes the staff in Gainesville but is still getting to know them. Right now Georgia is the team to watch.
