The Florida Gators kick-off the 2026 football season on Saturday night in the Swamp and while the focus will be on the action on the field, the endzone will also be full of prospects.
With the start of football season, comes the lifting of the dead period so prospects are now able to visit campus and meet with the coaching staff again.
This weekend may not have the biggest opponent on the field but the staff has put together a solid visitors list to start the 2026 season.

Commits coming to town
With the Class of 2027 class pretty much done, the Gators are focused on keeping their current commits in the class and this weekend they will host 16 commits on campus.
Quarterback commit Davin Davidson is leading the charge of the class and he’s expected on campus on Saturday.
Running back commit Andrew Beard, receiver commits Elias Pearl and Anthony Jennings, and tight end commit Jackson Ballinger all plan to join Davidson in the Swamp on Saturday.
Offensive line commits Peyton Miller and Maxwell Hiller also plan to be in attendance as the Gators are looking forward to having the two prospects on campus.
Defensive line commit De’Voun Kendrick who’s having a huge senior year is expected in the Swamp on Saturday.
Linebacker commit Ellis McGaskin, Tre Geathers and Ja’Bios Smith will join defensive back commits Aaamaury Fountain, Kam Whitfield and Armani Strong to represent the defensive side of the ball.
Kicker Aaron McWilliams and long snapper Jaydee Lane also plan to be at the game.
Underclassmen targets coming to town
While the hay is mostly in the barn for the Class of 2027, the staff is focused on building momentum with 2028 and 2029 prospects this fall. This weekend they will host a strong group of underclassmen.
