Florida Gators recruiting visitors list preview for the Arkansas game

The Florida Gators return to the Swamp on Saturday to take on the Arkansas Razorbacks in a game which the Gators will debut their new black jerseys.

Billy Napier and his staff are also scheduled to host several big recruits in town including several targets that the Gators would love to flip from other schools.

This week’s visitors list features a lot of commits coming to town to help recruit the other top targets that will be on campus. The Gators will also host one official visitor this weekend.

Check out this weekend’s visitors list preview here.

Gators going for the flip

Several prospects committed elsewhere plan to be in Gainesville on Saturday as the Gators are working hard to flip these guys from schools they’re committed to.

Ohio State receiver commit Jeremiah Smith has been to Gainesville several times already and he plans to return on Saturday. Smith has a good relationship with the coaching staff and with quarterback commit DJ Lagway and the Gators are just hoping to continue to chip away at Ohio State’s lead. Smith is watching the Gators’ offense closely this year.

Arkansas running back commit Jadan Baugh picked up an offer from Florida during the summer, but this will be his first visit to Gainesville as the Gators continue to look for a second back in the class. Baugh has mentioned that he may return for an official visit, so this weekend is all about making him comfortable to get him back on campus.

Alabama defensive back commit Jameer Grimsley was at last week’s game in Jacksonville, and he plans to return this weekend. Grimsley has interest in the Gators and likes defensive backs coach Corey Raymond, but the Gators still have work to do here. Grimsley will most likely take an official visit to Gainesville in December.

Texas A&M defensive back commit Jordan Pride is another name that’s expected in town this weekend after he committed to the Aggies during the summer. Pride had a lot of interest in the Gators before he committed to Texas A&M and this will be his first trip to town since that commitment.

Official visitor

Florida will have just one official visitor on campus this weekend when offensive lineman Favour Edwin visits Gainesville. Edwin has been to Florida before but this weekend he will have more time around the staff and offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton will have the chance to break down film with the lineman. Edwin named a top five of Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, and Georgia Tech on Thursday.

Two defensive targets to visit

Defensive lineman Michai Boireau will be in town after he watched the Gators take on Georgia last weekend in Jacksonville. The former Florida commit is looking hard at Florida and the Gators have the edge for the Georgia native but other schools are trying to get Boireau on campus this fall.

Defensive back Zay Mincey plans to be in Gainesville this weekend for the second time this year as the Gators continue to battle Alabama for his commitment. Mincey’s teammate LJ McCray is working hard on the safety and the Gators will have the chance to take a step ahead this weekend.

Commits coming to town

Florida will host defensive line commit Amaris Williams this weekend as the Gators look to fend off Ohio State who has made a move for the defensive lineman. The Gators still remain in good shape for Williams but getting him back on campus this weekend is huge as the staff will have a chance to talk with him in-person.

Linebacker commits Adarius Hayes and Myles Graham will join Williams in town this weekend and will be joined by defensive line commit Kendall Jackson and receiver commit Izaiah Williams.

Offensive lineman Fletcher Westphal, running back commit Kahnen Daniels and defensive line commit LJ McCray all plan to be in town with this being the first trip as a commit for McCray.

Defensive back commit Teddy Foster also plans to be in town.

Underclassmen to visit

Joining the 2024 targets on campus this weekend will be a long list of underclassmen.

2025 linebacker Keylan Moses

2025 defensive back CJ Hill

2025 defensive back Chris McCorkle

2025 safety Hylton Stubbs

2026 quarterback Will Griffin
