GatorCountry brings you a preview of this weekend’s visitors for the coaching staff in Gainesville.

Offensive targets to visit

The Gators have hosted a lot of running backs on campus this spring and they will host three more this weekend.

Running back Samuel Singleton (5-11, 180, Orange Park, FL. Fleming Island) will make his first visit to Gainesville on Saturday. Singleton doesn’t have an offer from Florida yet but that could change this weekend.

Running back Dontavius Braswell (5-11, 200, Sandersville, GA. Washington County) plans to visit Florida this weekend as he hopes to pick up an offer from the Gators this weekend. Alabama and Tennessee have recently offered Braswell while he was on campus.

Running back Michael Mitchell (6-0, 200, Middleburg, FL. High) also plans to be on campus for the first time this spring on Saturday. Mitchell doesn’t have an offer from Florida currently.

2024 receiver Jeremiah Smith (6-3, 185, Hollywood, FL. Chaminade-Madonna Prep) is considered one of the top prospects in the country for next year and he plans to make his first trip to Gainesville on Saturday. Ohio State is considered the early favorite for Smith.

Defensive prospects to visit

The Gators have a desperate need for linebackers in the class and on Saturday the staff will host one of their top targets at linebackers.

Linebacker Grayson Howard will be on campus for the second time this spring on Saturday as the linebacker has built a good relationship with linebackers coach Jay Bateman. Clemson and South Carolina are considered the favorites for Howard.

Athlete commit Aaron Gates also plans to be on campus for the second time under Napier on Saturday. Gates is being recruited by Florida to play defensive back.

Defensive back RJ Johnson was recently offered by Florida last month and he plans to make his first visit to Gainesville on Saturday. Johnson has been talking to the coaching staff a lot, but this will be his first time meeting the staff.

Safety Bryce Thornton also picked up an offer from Florida in March and this will be his first trip to town. Thornton has offers from several big schools like Alabama, Auburn, and Clemson among others.

2024 defensive end Booker Pickett plans to make his first trip to town on Saturday and he hopes to pick up an offer from Florida.
