Florida Gators recruiting visitors list for the South Carolina game

The Florida Gators will take the field one final time in the Swamp on Saturday as the Gators will finish the 2022 football season with two straight road games following Saturday’s game.

Billy Napier and the Gators’ coaching staff will have one final time to impress recruits with the Swamp’s gameday atmosphere and several big-name prospects are scheduled to be in town.

Joining several uncommitted prospects will be several of the Gators’ current commits who will be in town to help recruit others.

Rashada returns to the Swamp

New Florida quarterback commit Jaden Rashada made news on Thursday when he flipped from Miami to Florida, and he’s scheduled to be in Gainesville on Saturday as he will take an early morning flight from California to Florida. Rashada is a big visitor for the Gators as several prospects he knows will be on campus this weekend and the quarterback will be in their ear about the Gators.

Going for the flip

Napier has already flipped one prospect this weekend and on Saturday he will host two other prospects committed elsewhere on campus.

Florida State offensive line commit Lucas Simmons is scheduled to be in town for the first time this fall but Simmons was a frequent visitor to Gainesville before his commitment to the Noles. Simmons has a good relationship with offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton and that relationship hasn’t changed despite his commitment.

Miami offensive line commit Tommy Kinsler is also scheduled to be in town as he has become close with Rashada as of late. Kinsler who was a Gators’ commit for just weeks has kept in touch with the coaching staff and the Gators hope having Rashada in the fold now will help the Gators’ chance with the Ocala native.

Top DB target to visit

Defensive back Desmond Ricks reclassified to the 2023 class a few weeks ago and he will be in town for another Gators’ home game on Saturday. Ricks has been on campus a lot and has a final 3 of Florida, Alabama, and LSU and he plans to take an official visit to Gainesville in December. The Gators are hoping to keep some momentum with Ricks after he visited LSU last weekend.

Commits coming to town

Joining the uncommitted prospects in town this weekend will be 15 of the Gators’ commits.

Quarterbacks Jaden Rashada and Marcus Stokes, offensive linemen Bryce Lovett, Knijeah Harris, and Roderick Kearney will all be in town. Defensive linemen Kelby Collins, Gavin Hill, Isaiah Nixon, Will Norman, and Kamran James are all scheduled to be in town as well. Norman was supposed to take an official visit to Kentucky but changed his mind and will be in Gainesville.

Defensive backs Ja’Keem Jackson, Sharif Denson, Dijon Johnson, and Aaron Gates will join linebacker Jaden Robinson in town.

2024 linebacker Myles Graham is also scheduled to be in town on Saturday.

Underclassmen to visit

The 2023 list is very solid but the Gators’ staff will also have several underclassmen on campus this weekend and the list is pretty impressive.

2024 quarterback Jake Merklinger- will be visiting Saturday night and Sunday

2024 running back Stacy Gage

2024 tight end Walter Matthews

2024 offensive lineman Jake Guarnera

2024 offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis

2024 offensive lineman Fletcher Westphal

2024 defensive lineman Kendall Jackson

2024 linebacker Adarius Hayes

2024 defensive back Charles Lester III
