Not only will Florida host many prospects on unofficial visits but they will host six prospects on official visits this weekend as well.

GatorCountry brings you a Florida Gators recruiting visitors list preview for the rivalry game against Florida State.

Official visitors:

The Gators coaching staff will welcome six official visitors to campus this weekend as the next three weekends are loaded with official visitors.

Receiver Xzavier Henderson will be on campus for the fourth this year but this weekend will be his official visit. Henderson is looking hard at Florida, Clemson and Alabama as he wants to make a decision at the All-Star game in January. The Gators need a good official visit to get the momentum strongly in the Gators direction.

As the Gators look to add multiple receivers in the class they will also host receiver

Mississippi State JUCO WR commit Malik Heath will also be on campus this weekend for the first time since he went the JUCO route. Heath is a former commit of Dan Mullen but this weekend will be big for both sides as the Gators go for a flip.

Receiver Kentron Poitier will also be on campus this weekend as the Gators are keeping an eye on Poitier as is Tennessee and others. This be Poitier’s second visit to campus this year.

Linebacker Phillip Webb has the Gators in his top five with Auburn, Alabama, Oklahoma and LSU but this will be the first time for Webb to see a Gators game in person. Webb has a lot of interest in the Gators and has a close relationship with Dan Mullen and Christian Robinson but the Gators need a good visit this weekend.

Helping the staff with those guys will be Florida commits Rashad Torrence and Issiah Walker as both guys are solid to the Gators. Both Torrence and Walker plan to sign early with the Gators in December.

Unofficial visitors

Joining the seven official visitors this weekend are scheduled to be several prospects on unofficial visits including several top targets for the Gators.

As the Gators continue to look for a running back in the class, the staff will welcome two of their top targets on campus this weekend. Running back Jahmyr Gibbs is committed to Georgia Tech but schools like Florida, Alabama and Ohio State are hard after Gibbs. This will be the first visit to Gainesville for Gibbs as the Gators currently trail the other schools mentioned above.

Joining Gibbs this weekend is former FSU running back commit Jaylan Knighton who was on campus for the Vanderbilt game a few weeks ago. Knighton is also looking hard at Miami.

Receiver E Jai Mason is very familiar with Mullen from his time at Mississippi State but the Gators have a lot of work to do to catch Mississippi State.

Tennessee offensive line commit James Robinson will be on campus for the first time this weekend. Robinson doesn’t have a Florida offer yet but the Gators could offer soon.

Tight end Jaheim Bell is a former commit of the Gators but is still looking at the Gators. South Carolina is the early leader for Bell.

The Gators will also two of their top defensive tackle targets including Alabama commit Tim Smith who has been on campus multiple times this year and plans to return for an official later in December. The Gators and Alabama are battling for his signature.

North Carolina commit Clyde Pinder picked up a late offer from Florida just last week and wasted no time getting on campus. Pinder will return to North Carolina next weekend for an official and then Florida after that. Pinder hasn’t decided if he will sign early or not but the Gators are trending up for Pinder.

Defensive back Ethan Pouncey and his brother Texas WR transfer Jordan Pouncey are scheduled to be on campus. This will be the first time on campus this fall for the younger Pouncey as the Gators are battling Auburn here.

Several commits coming to town

The Gators coaching staff will have help recruiting the uncommitted guys as several of Florida’s commits plan to be on campus this weekend.

Quarterback Anthony Richardson and receiver commit Jaquavion Fraziars will be on campus this weekend and then return next weekend for an official visit. Both guys plan to sign early with the Gators in December.

Defensive line commits Gervon Dexter and Antwaun Powell have been solid to Florida since committing and they’ve been on campus a few times this fall already. Both guys are solid with the Gators.

Linebacker commit Derek Wingo has been one of the Gators biggest recruiters since he committed to Florida and he will be on campus this weekend and then next weekend for an official visit.
