Florida Gators recruiting visitors list for the Florida State game

The Florida Gators will host the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night in the Swamp in the regular season finale as the Gators look to get bowl eligible.

Billy Napier and his staff will also use Saturday’s game as a big recruiting weekend as several of the Gators’ top targets are expected in town for the big rivalry game.

Several of Florida’s commits are expected in town as well and GatorCountry brings you a recruiting visitors list preview here.

Top target on offense to visit?

Maybe the biggest target on campus this weekend is expected to be Ohio State receiver commit Jeremiah Smith who has been on campus several times this year. Smith is expected in town this weekend but we’re told that his visit plans could change. Ohio State is still sitting in good shape here, but Florida State is a close second and the Gators are still in the mix.

Defensive targets to visit

The Gators have lost some guys on the defensive side of the ball in recent weeks and several targets are expected to visit Gainesville on Saturday that could replace those decommitments.

Alabama defensive back commit Jameer Grimsley has been one of the Gators top targets at defensive back and he will be back for his third game of the year on Saturday. Alabama has regained the momentum with Grimsley, but the Gators are hoping to get an official visit set with the Florida native during Saturday’s game.

Defensive back Zay Mincey is also expected in town on Saturday as Corey Raymond has made him a top priority for over a year now. Mincey likes Florida, Florida State, and Miami and the Gators are hoping to get some momentum this weekend.

Texas A&M defensive line commit Dealyn Evans will be back on campus for the first time since the summer as the Gators are hoping to get an edge on the Aggies with Texas A&M looking for a new coach. Evans had a lot of interest in the Gators in the summer so this weekend will be a big one for both sides.

Defensive line target Brien Taylor was the first JUCO defensive lineman the Gators offered, and he will be on campus this weekend and then for an official visit in December. Georgia seems to have the edge for Taylor right now but Taylor has been vocal about wanting to see Gainesville and he likes the playing time available right now.

Defensive back Gregory Smith is another guy that been a frequent visitor to campus, and he will once again be on campus on Saturday. The Gators continue to gain momentum with the Tampa native heading into December.

Commits coming to town

Joining that list of targets will be several of Florida’s commits who will be in the ear of those targets during the game on Saturday.

Defensive line commit LJ McCray will be in town as he hopes to get his teammate Zay Mincey in the class.

Defensive back commit Xavier Filsaime has taken some visits elsewhere this fall but Saturday is a chance for Florida to put any doubts to ease for Filsaime and his family.

Linebacker commit Aaron Chiles will be in the Swamp to take in his first game on Saturday as the linebacker is solid with his commitment to Florida.

Running back commit Kahnen Daniels, linebacker commit Adarius Hayes, defensive back commit Teddy Foster, receiver commits Izaiah Williams, and TJ Abrams will also be in town on Saturday.

Linebacker commit Myles Graham and his teammate defensive line commit Kendall Jackson will make the short drive over to campus.

Tight end commit Amir Jackson, offensive line commit Marcus Mascoll, and defensive back commit Josiah Davis will all make the trip down from Georgia on Saturday.

2025 running back Waltez Clark will also make the trip to Gainesville on Saturday.

Underclassmen to visit

This game is a big one for underclassmen as the staff will be turning their attention to the Class of 2025 soon and they can gain some momentum with those guys this weekend. These 2025 targets are expected in town.
