Florida Gators recruiting visitors list for Missouri week

There hasn’t been a home football game in Gainesville in a month, which means there hasn’t been a Florida Gators recruiting visitors list either.

That all changes this weekend as the Gators are expected to host two official visitors and several big name prospects on unofficial visits.

With the Gators losing the LSU game, the coaching staff and recruiting staff are tasked with the tough job of getting guys in town for this game or the South Carolina game.

Here’s the Florida Gators recruiting visitors list that Gator Country has confirmed with these prospects.

Official visitors:

The Gators are scheduled to host their first two official visitors for the 2016 football season this weekend. Linebacker Anthony Hines (6-3, 222, Plano, TX. Plano East) was set to visit last weekend but will now visit this weekend. Right now Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Ohio State are all in the mix for Hines. This will be Hines first visit to Gainesville and his parents will join him.

Offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz (6-3, 315, Bradenton, FL. IMG Academy) is also coming in for an official visit this weekend. Ruiz has visited the Gators before but hasn’t been to Gainesville since last spring. Michigan is the favorite to land Ruiz right now.

Unofficial visitors:

The Gators will have four of their commits on campus this weekend for the homecoming game.

Gators defensive back commit Marco Wilson and defensive back commit Jordon Scott have both been to all of the Gators home games this year. Wilson even traveled to Knoxville to watch the Gators play Tennessee.

The Gators two Southridge commits will also be in town when tight end Kemore Gamble and cornerback Shawn Davis both come in town. This will be their game to visit Gainesville this year. Both prospects are very solid to Florida.

Joining Davis and Gamble in town will be their Southridge teammate in 2018 receiver Mark Pope (6-0, 160, Miami, FL. Southridge) who will be on campus for the second time this year. Pope has Alabama and Florida out in front in his recruitment.

Florida will also host two 2018 Florida State commits when athlete Justin Watkins (5-11, 172, Ocala, FL. Vanguard) and offensive lineman Christian Meadows (6-3, 330, Montezuma, GA. Macon County) will be in town. Meadows visited earlier this year for the UMass game and Watkins was in town for the Kentucky game.

The Gators will host a big time 2019 prospect when receiver Trey Knox (6-4, 190, Murfreesboro, TN. Blackman) makes his first trip to Gainesville. Knox is a big Gators fan but this will be his first ever Florida game.

2018 offensive lineman Reuben Unije (6-5, 303, Bradenton, FL. IMG) was a stable on Florida’s campus this summer but this will be his trip to Florida this fall. The Gators are in good shape for Unije right now.

2018 running back Lorenzo Lingard is also expected to make his second visit to Gainesville this year.

Additional Visitors: Jerome Ford, Warren Thompson, Jermaine Eskridge, Jarrett Jackson, Jalynn Williams, Jaquaze Sorrells, Tony Gray, Cam Taylor, James Graham, John Harris, Charles Strong, Jaleel McRae, DJ Ivey, Ventrell Miller.
