The Florida Gators football team has a busy day on Thursday as pro day will start the day and then the Gators will hold a spring practice later in the afternoon.
Billy Napier and the coaching staff are expected to host several big prospects on campus on Thursday for the spring practice.
Joining the group of prospects on Thursday will be two Florida legacies whom the Gators are recruiting very hard.

Two legacy targets to visit UF
It’s a big year for the coaching staff as several former players have sons in this recruiting class and two of them will be in town on Thursday.
Receiver Vernell Brown III plans to be in town on Thursday as the Gators are hoping to make up ground with the receiver. Ohio State is the team with the most buzz around them right now but there’s still a long way to go in Brown’s recruitment.
Athlete CJ Ingram also plans to be in town on Thursday as he’s a guy that’s rising in the recruiting rankings around the country. Ingram is a talent prospect who plays quarterback in high school but his long-term future could be at receiver. Florida sits in a good spot for Ingram early on.
Florida commit to visit
Florida defensive line commit Jalen Wiggins plans to be in town to watch his first practice on Thursday. Wiggins has taken some trips to other schools, but he remains solid with the Gators and has a great relationship with the coaching staff. Thursday is another chance for the Gators to show Wiggins why he committed in the first place.
Ohio RB to visit
Cleveland running back Marquise Davis will be in Gainesville starting Thursday and he doesn’t plan to leave until Saturday. Davis is from Ohio so the Gators have some work to do with him but he has a great relationship with running backs coach Jabbar Juluke and Florida hopes to gain ground during the multi-day trip.
Alabama OL to visit
Offensive lineman Mal Waldrep will get his first chance to meet with the coaching staff on Thursday and he’s looking forward to seeing Rob Sale in action. Waldrep is a big offensive lineman out of Alabama who the Gators and others like a lot.
Several other top prospects to visit
One big name in the 2026 class that’s expected in town on Thursday is quarterback Will Griffin who has been a frequent visitor in Gainesville. The Gators are in good shape early on with Griffin but several other schools are also in the mix.
2026 defensive back Devin Jackson also plans to be in town on Thursday and he’s another guy that has been on campus a lot in the past.
