Florida Gators recruiting reaction to the Ole Miss win

The Florida Gators cruised to a victory over Ole Miss on Saturday in Oxford on national TV.

Since it’s a dead period recruits are not permitted to attend games but many of Florida’s commits and targets were able to watch the game on ESPN.

GatorCountry asked the commits and targets to give us their thoughts on the Gators’ big win to open the season on Saturday.

Here’s a recruit reaction to Florida’s win over Ole Miss on Saturday.

Receiver commit Trevonte Rucker- “It’s great to be a Florida Gators. That’s it, that’s all. I love the passing game.”

Defensive back target Terrion Arnold-“I wasn’t surprised, they executed and this was the result.”

Defensive back commit Jason Marshall-“It was a good game, putting up 50+ in the first game of the season. Defensively we got to get better but it’s a fix.”

Long snapper commit Rocco Underwood-“I think it was a great win, they started a little slow but once they got into it a little bit they got comfortable and broke away. First game this year, loved it.”

Quarterback commit Jalen Kitna-“Man they Kyles were killing it. Encouraged by the amount of playmakers on offense. I think that Florida won’t have any trouble scoring this year.

Defensive back commit Corey Collier-“Put respect on Kyle’s name.”

2022 running back target Damari Alston-“Great team man. Got the offense rolling on the first game. Receivers and Trask looked great.”

Linebacker commit Diwun Black-“Kyle Pitts for president,” Black tweeted.

Offensive line commit Jake Slaughter-“Awesome win to come back on. Great to see everyone compete out there.”

Tight end commit Gage Wilcox-“It was what you thought it was going to be. They balled and put points on the board and was moving the ball well.”

2022 quarterback target Jacurri Brown-“Good team win, the defense took a while to get started but the offense was explosive.”

Linebacker commit Chief Borders-“Winners find ways to win.”

Quarterback commit Carlos Del-Rio-“It was a great game, they had a slow start for this to be the first they’ve played. I definitely expected that. Coach made some adjustments to get everything rolling and then everybody seemed to be on the same page by the third quarter and the score tells the rest.”
