Florida Gators official visitors list preview

Billy Napier and his new Florida Gators coaching staff will host their first set of official visits this weekend.

Napier and his coaching staff are looking to add new prospects to the Gators’ recruiting class as they have just five days until the early signing day.

Joining several of Florida’s top targets will be two commits that have stuck with Napier and the Gators.

Commits to visit Florida

Offensive line commit David Conner received a visit from the Gators on Wednesday, but this weekend will be his first chance to meet Coach Napier and hear his vision for the program. Conner plans to enroll early at Florida and sign with the Gators next week.

Defensive line commit Chris McClellan will take an official visit to Oklahoma on Friday and then will be in Gainesville on Sunday to meet with Napier and the staff. McClellan has said the right things about Florida, but the hometown Sooners are a school to watch closely.

Top targets to visit

Georgia defensive tackle commit Shone Washington plans to visit Gainesville this weekend after the Gators offered him on Monday. Running backs coach Jabbar Juluke visited Washington at his home on Thursday.

Defensive back Devin Moore just recently backed off his commitment to Notre Dame after their coaching change and he will now be in Gainesville this weekend. Moore received a visit from new co-defensive coordinator Patrick Toney on Tuesday. The Gators enter the weekend sitting in good shape.
