Florida Gators offensive line recruiting board for 2023

The Florida Gators have a huge need on the offensive line and that has been a big focus for the coaching staff in the 2023 recruiting class.

Offensive line coaches Rob Sale and Darnell Stapleton have built up their position room and are trying to continue to build depth on the recruiting.

Despite having the two commits in the class, the coaching staff is in mix with several others as they would like to add at least three more prospects on the offensive line this cycle.

GatorCountry brings you a look at the top remaining targets on the offensive line for the Gators.

Offensive lineman Monroe Freeling- Freeling took his official visit to Florida in June and the lineman says he wants to wait until later in the fall to decide as he wants to watch how all of his finalist do on the field this year. Notre Dame was thought to be the top school for Freeling, but the Irish have fallen off and it now looks like this could come down to Florida or Miami. Freeling wants to visit Gainesville this fall for a game and that visit will be big for Florida.

Offensive lineman Tyree Adams- Adams plans to visit Gainesville for Friday Night Lights and then plans to take his official visit to Florida on September 3rd for the Gators opener against Utah. Adams also plans to visit Alabama, Georgia, and LSU before making a decision. Adams has a good relationship with several of Florida’s coaches including Corey Raymond and Jabbar Juluke from their time in the state of Louisiana.

Offensive lineman Caden Jones- Jones is a guy that has just recently popped on the radar for the Gators as he had a great spring and campus circuit. Jones plans to be in Gainesville for Friday Night Lights and stay a few days after the event. Texas A&M is also in the mix for Jones, but other teams are sure to jump in the mix for the lineman as he wants to take official visits this fall and then decision after those visits are finished.

Offensive lineman Tommy Kinsler- Kinsler was committed for Florida for just over a week and he was expected to commit to Miami but held off on doing that and now Miami is close to running out of spots on the line. The Gators will remain in the hunt for Kinsler and if they can patch up a few things then the Gators could win out with Miami’s standing up in the air at this point.

Offensive lineman Miles McVay- McVay has visited Gainesville twice in the past under Dan Mullen and plans to take his official visit to Florida in October, but he will decide before then. Alabama, Oregon, Michigan State and Texas A&M are battling to be his pick in August, but Alabama and Florida will host McVay for an official visit in October. The Gators need to get him on campus in October.

Florida State offensive lineman Roderick Kearney-Kearney committed to Florida State while on campus in Gainesville and that rubbed some people the wrong way, but new Gators quarterback commit Marcus Stokes and running back commit Treyaun Webb are recruiting Kearney hard so he’s someone to watch going forward. If Kearney and the Gators’ coaching staff can overcome what took place in June, then the Gators should remain in the mix here.

Baylor offensive line commit Sean Thompkins- The lineman visited Gainesville in June but the Gators weren’t recruiting him hard at the time and the lineman committed to Baylor shortly after that. Thompkins is a guy that is a later riser on most recruiting boards so I expect the Gators to continue to watch Thompkins and recruit him in hopes of flipping him.
